1 c. margarine, softened
1 c. sugar
2 eggs, beaten
2 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. creamy or chunky peanut butter
1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
Preparation

Cream margarine, peanut butter and sugars together in bowl. Mix in eggs and vanilla.
Sift flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt together over margarine mixture.
Stir until well blended.
Refrigerate dough until well chilled.
Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Form dough into 1-inch balls.
Place about 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet.
Flatten with floured bottom of glass or with floured fork.
Bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until lightly browned.
