Ingredients

3 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. ginger
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. ground cloves
1 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. dark Karo syrup
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar; mix in Karo syrup.
Sift flour and spices together and add to butter mixture; mix well.
Roll out 1/8-inch thick on floured surface.
Cut out with cookie cutters and place on cookie sheet.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for about 10 minutes. Cool on rack.
