Ingredients

1 lb. softened butter
4 c. sugar
6 eggs
2 tsp. baking powder
8 c. flour
1 lemon (juice and grate outer lemon rind)
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Cream the butter with the sugar. Add eggs, one at a time.
Mix the baking powder with the flour and alternate with the juice, extract and rind. Refrigerate overnight.
Take out small amounts. Roll thin. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 6 to 9 minutes.
