Banana Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 3/4 c. flour
    2 tsp. double-acting baking powder
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1/3 c. shortening
    2/3 c. sugar (I use 1/3 c. brown and 1/3 c. granulated sugar)
    2 eggs
    1 c. mashed bananas (ripe)
    1/4 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Grease and flour 8 x 4-inch loaf pan.
    Combine flour, soda, salt and baking powder in bowl.
    Cream shortening and sugars in 3-quart bowl until fluffy.
    Add eggs, 1 at a time, and beat well. Stir in bananas and 1/2 cup walnut meats if prefer.
    Add flour mixture in 4 portions; beat until smooth.
    Bake in prepared pan for 50 minutes or until inserted tester comes out clean at 350\u00b0.
