1 c. Brown sugar
1 c. Shortening
1 Egg
1/2 c. Chopped Nuts
1/2 c. Chopped Coconut
2 c. Flour
1/2 c. tsp. Salt
1/2 tsp. Cream of Tartar
1/2 tsp. Baking Soda
1 tsp. Vanilla
Preparation

Melt one cup of Baker's Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips over hot water.
Beat 2 egg whites with a dash of salt until foamy. Gradually add 1/2 cup sugar, beating well.
Then beat until stiff peaks will form.
