Microwave Brown Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. whole wheat flour
1/2 c. white flour
1/2 c. yellow corn meal
1 Tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. sour milk
1/4 c. cooking oil
1/3 c. molasses
1/2 c. raisins (optional)
Preparation

Shake the raisins with a tablespoon of the flour to coat. Combine all ingredients and pour into a 4 cup microwaveable measuring cup or bowl of similar size.
Container should be well greased and there should be enough room at the top for expansion. Cover with plastic wrap, held in place with an elastic band. Microwave at 50 percent power for 12 minutes, then allow to sit for 10 minutes. Run knife around inside of bowl and invert to remove bread. Slice and serve warm with baked beans.
