Ingredients

1 c. butter
1/3 to 1/2 c. powdered sugar
2 tsp. water
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation

Cream the butter and sugar.
Add water and vanilla and mix well.
Blend in flour and nuts.
Chill for 4 hours.
Shape into balls.
Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 325\u00b0 for about 20 minutes.
Remove from pan and while still warm, roll in confectioners sugar.
Makes about 3 dozen.
