Banana Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. sugar
    1/3 c. soft shortening
    2 eggs
    3 Tbsp. sour milk or buttermilk
    1 c. ripe banana
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Mix first 3 ingredients together thoroughly.
    Stir in sour milk and banana.
    Sift together next four ingredients and stir in. Blend in chopped nuts.
    Pour into well-greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
    Let stand 20 minutes before baking.
    Bake until it tests done in a 350\u00b0 oven for 50 to 60 minutes.
    Serve warm or cold.
