Banana Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. sifted flour
    2/3 c. sugar
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    2 eggs
    1/3 c. milk
    1/3 c. melted shortening
    1 1/2 c. sliced banana
    1 c. nuts
Preparation
    Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and nutmeg in a large bowl.
    In another bowl, beat eggs, milk and oil.
    Add bananas and stir; mix until smooth.
    Add nuts.
    Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients.
    Mix only until dry ingredients are moistened.
    Pour into a greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
    Bake in a moderate 350\u00b0 oven until done, about 1 hour.
    Cool in pan about 5 minutes. Remove from pan and finish cooling on rack.
    Makes one loaf.
