Apricot Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. dried apricots
1 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. shortening
1 egg
1/4 c. water
1/2 c. orange juice
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 c. flour
1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Soak apricots in water to cover until soft and tender.
Drain and cut up.
Cream sugar, shortening and egg.
Stir in orange juice, baking powder, baking soda, salt and flour.
Stir in nuts and apricots.
Grease two bread pans and line with foil; grease foil.
Pour in batter.
Let sit 20 minutes.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 55 to 65 minutes.
Remove from pan, peel off foil and cool.
