2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. butter, softened
3/4 c. sugar
3/4 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate morsels (2 c.)
1 c. chopped nuts (optional)
Preparation

Preheat the oven to 375\u00b0.
In a small bowl, combine dry ingredients, flour, baking soda and salt.
Set aside.
In a large bowl, combine butter, sugar, brown sugar and vanilla. Beat until creamy. Beat in eggs. Gradually add flour mixture; mix well. Stir in chocolate morsels and nuts. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 375\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
Yields about 100 (2-inch) cookies.
