Ingredients

1 c. Crisco
2 c. sugar
3 c. flour
3 eggs (add 1 at a time)
2 c. pecans
2 c. dates
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 level tsp. soda, dissolved in 1 Tbsp. hot water
Preparation

Mix sugar, Crisco, eggs, salt, vanilla and cinnamon.
Dissolve soda in hot water.
Put one extra cup of flour on dates and pecans.
Add dates, pecans and flour last.
Drop on cookie sheet (not too close) and bake at 350\u00b0 until lightly browned.
