Brown Sugar Icebox Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. butter
    2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1/2 tsp. soda
    dash of salt
    1 c. pecans
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Add beaten egg.
    Sift flour, soda, cream of tartar and salt together about 3 times.
    Add to first mixture and blend.
    Stir in vanilla and pecans.
    Shape into a roll (or rolls) about an inch in diameter.
    Wrap in wax paper and leave in refrigerator overnight.
    Slice very thin; bake on greased cookie sheet in a 300\u00b0 oven until golden brown.
