Panda Bear Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. shortening
    1 1/4 c. sugar
    1 1/4 c. brown sugar
    4 large eggs
    1 c. canned applesauce
    1 c. canned pumpkin
    1 1/2 c. whole wheat flour
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. ground mace
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    1/4 tsp. cloves
    1/3 c. chopped dried apricots
    1/3 c. dates
    1 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation
    Beat shortening, sugar and brown sugar.
    Add eggs, then beat in applesauce and pumpkin.
    Stir together flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, mace, nutmeg and cloves.
    Add dry ingredients to pumpkin mixture, stir until flour is moist; then stir in apricots, dates and nuts. Put into 2 greased 5 x 9-inch loaf pans.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 about 1 hour.
