Swiss Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 pkg. dry yeast
    1/2 c. warm water
    1 c. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    2 c. scalded milk
    1 c. butter
    6 slightly beaten eggs
    9 c. flour
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Scald 2 cups of milk.
    Add the salt, sugar and the soft butter.
    Stir as it cools so sugar will not settle on the bottom of the pan.
    Add yeast.
    Add 4 1/2 cups flour. Add the slightly beaten eggs to mixture.
    Add more flour; knead it. Let rise in bowl for 1 hour.
    Punch down; let rise for 1/2 hour, then braid it and let the bread rise.
    Smaller loaves are easier to bake.
    Small loaves take 20 to 30 minutes.
    Freezes well.
