Persimmon Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. persimmon pulp, put through fruit colander
    1 c. shortening
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 c. raisins, simmered in a little water and drained
    1 c. nut meats, chopped and stirred into 2 c. flour
    1 egg, well beaten
    1 tsp. soda, stirred into persimmon pulp
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. cloves
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
Preparation
    Beat sugar, shortening and egg together well, add other ingredients and drop from spoon onto well-greased cookie pan, bake 10 or 15 minutes in 350\u00b0 oven.
