Ingredients

2 sticks margarine
5 eggs
3 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped pecans
2 1/4 c. firmly packed light brown sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. milk
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Grease and flour a 10-inch tube pan. Cream butter, shortening and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each.
Blend in vanilla. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt.
Add alternately with milk to creamed mixture, beginning and ending with dry ingredients.
Fold in nuts.
Spoon batter into prepared pans. Bake for 1 hour and 10 minutes, or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
Drizzle with Caramel Glaze.
