No Sugar Apple Bars(Sugar-Free) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. water
    1 c. raisins
    1 c. flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. nuts
    1 medium egg
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 c. shortening
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    2 small apples, peeled and chopped
Preparation
    In saucepan, mix water, raisins, shortening, cinnamon and nutmeg.
    Bring to a boil and simmer 3 minutes; cool.
    In mixing bowl, beat egg and vanilla.
    Add to raisin mixture.
    Mix flour, salt, soda and nuts and add to mixture.
    Spread into 6 x 6-inch pans.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
    Cut into bars and serve warm.
