Grandmother'S Christmas Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 eggs
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. Crisco
    1 c. molasses
    1/2 c. sour milk
    2 tsp. soda
    enough flour to make a stiff dough
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. black pepper
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients in order given.
    Chill overnight in a covered bowl.
    Roll out in a log roll about the size of a lead pencil.
    Cut in 1/2-inch pieces.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes. Store in an airtight container or Christmas can.
    The longer they are stored, the better the flavor.
