Date Nut Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 pkg. dates, cut fine
1 1/2 c. hot water
1 Tbsp. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
2 Tbsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
2 3/4 c. flour
1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Grease loaf pan and line bottom with wax paper.
Mix dates and water.
Let stand 2 hours.
Cream butter and sugar.
Add egg and date mixture.
Sift soda, salt and flour.
