Ingredients

1 c. butter
1 c. white sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. sour cream
1 tsp. baking soda
4 tsp. baking powder
5 c. flour
Preparation

Mix butter and sugars together with electric mixer until well blended.
Add eggs and vanilla.
Mix with mixer.
Add sour cream; mix with mixer.
Add baking soda, baking powder and flour.
Add flour a little at a time.
Mix by hand (batter gets too thick when flour is added to use mixer).
Chill dough overnight or up to a week.
