Pumpkin-Date Nut Bread - cooking recipe

4 c. sugar
1 (29 oz.) can pumpkin
3 eggs
1 c. oil
5 c. flour
1 Tbsp. baking soda
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 1/2 tsp. ground cloves
1 tsp. salt
2 c. chopped dates
2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Grease four 1 pound loaf pans.
Combine sugar, pumpkin and eggs in a large mixing bowl.
Beat by hand until well blended.
Add oil and beat well.
Stir in dry ingredients. Mix well.
Leave a little flour to roll nuts and dates.
Mix in dates and nuts.
Fill prepared pans 3/4 full.
Bake 1 hour or until done when tested with toothpick.
When cooled, serve with cream cheese.
This bread does freeze well.
