Anise Christmas Cookies(Cut Outs) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter or shortening
    1 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    2 Tbsp. milk
    1 tsp. anise
    4 to 5 c. flour
    4 tsp. baking powder
Preparation
    Cream shortening and
    sugar
    together until very light; beat eggs and add slowly to shortening and sugar mixture.
    Add milk, one teaspoon at a time, stirring constantly.
    Add anise. Sift four cups flour with
    baking
    powder.
    Add
    one
    cup at a time; a little more flour
    may be needed.
    If so, add a little at a time. Take small
    portions
    of
    dough;
    roll out and cut into shapes. Bake in oven 10 to 12 minutes at 350\u00b0.
