Dark Yeast Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/2 c. rolled oats (quick)
    1/2 c. All-Bran
    1 tsp. salt
    3 Tbsp. molasses
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    2 c. boiling water
    3 1/2 c. sifted flour
Preparation
    Mix shortening, oats, All-Bran, salt, molasses and sugar together and pour the boiling water over this mixture.
    Cool until lukewarm, then sprinkle yeast on it and allow to set until tiny beads appear.
    Add 3 1/2 cups flour and mix well.
    Put 1/2 cup flour on board and knead until smooth.
    Let rise until double in bulk and punch down and put in pans.
    Let rise about 1 hour.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 45 minutes.
