Grandma'S Chew Bread(Recipe Is Over 100 Years Old) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (16 oz.) pkg. light brown sugar
    4 eggs
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Combine sugar and eggs in a heavy saucepan, stirring well. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat.
    Add remaining ingredients, stirring mixture well.
    Spoon mixture into a greased and floured 15 x 10 x 1-inch jellyroll pan.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 15 minutes or until golden brown. Cool and cut into squares.
    Yield: about 3 dozen.
