Chocolate Chip Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/3 c. shortening
    1/2 and 1/3 c. shortening
    1 c. brown sugar, packed
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. baking soda
    chocolate chips
    1/2 c. margarine
    1 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    3 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Heat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Mix shortening, sugars, eggs and vanilla thoroughly.
    Measure flour and other dry ingredients into separate bowl.
    Stir together; blend in.
    Mix in chocolate chips.
    Drop rounded teaspoonfuls of dough about 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet.
    Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until delicately browned. (Cookies should still be soft, cool slightly before removing from baking sheet.)
    Makes 8 to 9 dozen.
