Ingredients

1/4 c. butter or margarine
1 lb. soft dates
48 walnut halves
3/4 c. packed brown sugar
1 egg
1/2 c. sour cream
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/4 c. sifted flour
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
Preparation

Stuff each date with a walnut half; press to hold in shape. Cream butter and sugar.
Beat in the egg, sour cream and vanilla. Stir in the sifted flour, baking powder and baking soda.
Add the stuffed dates.
