Ingredients

1/2 c. soft butter or magarine
1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
1/2 c. crunchy peanut butter
1/2 tsp. baking soda
peanuts for garnish
1 egg
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
Preparation

Cream butter with sugar and peanut butter.
Add vanilla and egg.
Beat until fluffy. Stir in baking soda and salt.
Blend in flour and mix until a stiff dough forms.
Shape into walnut-size balls.
Place on lightly greased cookie sheet.
Press with fork crosswise to flatten.
Sprinkle with peanuts.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 10 minutes or until lightly browned.
Makes 2 1/2 dozen.
