Dad'S Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 pkg. yeast
    1 c. above warm water
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    3/4 c. Crisco
    8 Tbsp. sugar
    1 Tbsp. salt
    flour (enough to make thick paste)
    8 c. warm water
Preparation
    Mix yeast, water and 2 tablespoons sugar in a glass. Let set for 10 to 15 minutes. In large roaster, mix 8 cups water, Crisco, 8 tablespoons sugar, salt and flour. Add water with yeast, then add more flour until it doesn't stick to hands. Add flour a little at a time. Cover with towel. Let rise in warm place until doubled in size; knead.
    Coat bottom of pan and top of dough with grease. Let rise.
    When doubled in size, knead again. Put in loaf pans. Let rise until double again. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 minutes. Let stand 20 minutes before cutting.
