Ingredients

1/2 c. soft shortening (half butter)
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. peanut butter
1 egg
1 1/4 c. flour
Preparation

Mix shortening, sugar, brown sugar, peanut butter and egg. Stir in flour; blend together well.
Chill dough.
Roll into walnut size balls.
Place 3-inches apart on lightly greased baking sheet.
Flatten with fork dipped in flour and crisscross.
Bake until set, but not hard, at 375\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
