Basic Italian Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 c. flour
    1 1/2 c. sifted confectioners sugar
    3 eggs
    2 Tbsp. baking powder
    1 c. margarine or butter
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Blend sugar and baking powder with the flour with a wire whisk.
    Put on a pastry board; make a well in the center of the flour mixture.
    Break the eggs into the center and add the vanilla.
    Knead the dough well for 5 minutes until it is smooth, adding a little flour if the dough seems too sticky and soft. Pinch off bits of dough about the size of a small apricot and form into desired shape (rings or strips).
    Place on a lightly greased cookie sheet and bake in a hot 450\u00b0 oven for 10 minutes or less until golden.
    Watch carefully, because they brown easily! Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
