Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1/8 tsp. salt
1/4 c. milk
1/4 c. butter
2 Tbsp. peanut butter
1 c. oatmeal (uncooked quick rolled oats)
1/4 tsp. almond extract
Preparation

Combine in medium-sized saucepan the first 5 ingredients. Bring to a rolling boil.
Reduce heat to low and cook 3 minutes, stirring often.
Stir in oatmeal and extract.
Beat until thickened and cool.
Drop by teaspoonfuls on waxed paper.
Chill well.
Makes 2 dozen.
