Orange Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    peeling and pulp from 4 large oranges
    1 tsp. soda
    1 c. sugar
    1/3 c. orange juice
    1 c. sugar
    5 Tbsp. shortening
    2 eggs
    3 c. sifted flour
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. milk
    1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Peel orange down to fruit.
    Cut into strips.
    Boil 10 minutes with 1 teaspoon soda.
    Rinse well.
    Cook peeling with 1 cup sugar and orange juice; cook pretty low, but not dry.
    Chop.
