Sweet Potato-Apple Casserole - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 medium-sized sweet potatoes, boiled and peeled
2 c. peeled and thinly sliced cooking or tart eating apples
6 Tbsp. butter
salt
1/2 c. brown sugar
cinnamon or mace
1/2 c. apple juice or water
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Slice the potatoes about 1/4-inch thick.
Grease a 2-quart casserole and alternate layers of sweet potatoes and apples, topping each layer of apples with the butter, salt, brown sugar and a sprinkling of cinnamon or mace.
Pour the apple juice or water over the top layer and bake for 1 hour until the apples are tender and the top is lightly browned.
