Ingredients

1/3 c. butter
1/3 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 c. flour
1/2 c. finely chopped walnuts
8 oz. pkg. cream cheese
1 egg
2 Tbsp. milk
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 c. sugar
Preparation

Cream butter with brown sugar in small mixing bowl.
Add flour and walnuts; mix to make a crumb mixture.
Reserve 1 cup for topping.
Press remainder into bottom of 8-inch square pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes, until lightly browned.
Blend sugar with cream cheese in small mixing bowl until smooth.
Add egg, milk, lemon juice and vanilla.
Beat well; spread over baked crust.
Sprinkle with reserved crumb mixture.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes; cool.
Cut into 2 inch squares.
