Banana Slush - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. sugar
    6 c. water
    5 mashed bananas
    1 (46 oz.) can pineapple juice
    2 (12 oz.) cans frozen orange juice
    1 (12 oz.) can frozen lemonade
    2 liter lemon-lime or ginger ale
Preparation
    Heat water and sugar in saucepan, stirring until sugar dissolves.
    Boil for 1 minute.
    Refrigerate until cold.
    Mix chilled mixture with pineapple juice, orange juice and lemonade concentrates and mashed bananas.
    Pour into 5 (1-quart) containers; cover and freeze.
    When ready to use, remove from freezer, defrost slightly and break into chunks with a fork.
    Put in a punch bowl and add lemon-lime or ginger ale.
