Sweetheart Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. butter, creamed
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 egg yolk, beaten
    1 1/2 c. flour
Preparation
    Mix ingredients.
    Form into balls (about the circumference of a quarter).
    Press down with an English walnut half or half a maraschino cherry.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 about 20 minutes.
    Watch closely. Cook until not too brown or until golden brown on the bottom only.
    Use an ungreased cookie sheet.
    Makes 2 to 3 dozen cookies.
