Cinnamon Swirl Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 pkg. active dry yeast
1/4 c. warm water
2 c. milk, scalded
1/3 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/4 c. shortening
5 3/4 to 6 1/4 c. sifted flour
Preparation

Soften dry yeast in warm water (110\u00b0).
Combine hot milk, sugar, salt and shortening.
Cool to lukewarm.
Stir in 2 cups flour; beat well. Add softened yeast; mix.
Add enough remaining flour to make moderately stiff dough. Turn out on lightly floured surface.
Knead about 5 minutes. Shape in ball and place in lightly greased bowl, turning once. Cover and let rise in warm place (about 1 1/4 hours).
Punch down.
