Lemon Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chopped nuts
scant 1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 lemon rind, grated
1/4 c. sugar
juice of 1 lemon
Preparation

Mix all and let stand 20 minutes. Pour into 2 small or 1 large greased and floured loaf pan.
Bake 1 hour at 350\u00b0.
Mix 1/4 cup sugar and lemon juice, pour over bread while warm for glaze.
