Irish Soda Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 c. flour
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. margarine
1 1/2 c. raisins
2 tsp. caraway seed
1 1/3 c. buttermilk
2 eggs
1 beaten egg (to brush on top)
Preparation

Mix dry ingredients.
Cut in margarine.
Add remaining ingredients except beaten egg.
Knead briefly and put in 2-quart greased casserole.
Cut a cross on top.
Brush with beaten egg. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
(Do not freeze.)
