Chocolate Filled Bonbons - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter flavor Crisco
    1/4 c. packed brown sugar
    1 egg
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    36 chocolate kisses, unwrapped
    1/2 c. white sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 2/3 c. unsifted flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    36 pecan halves
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 400\u00b0.
    Cream Crisco, white sugar, brown sugar, vanilla and egg in large bowl at medium speed of electric mixer. Combine flour, baking soda and salt.
    Stir into creamed mixture. Press 2 level measuring teaspoonful dough around each kiss, covering kiss completely.
    Place pecan half on top of each.
    Place on ungreased baking sheet.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 6 to 7 minutes. (Cookies will not brown.)
    Gently press pecans into hot cookies. Cool on baking sheet 1 minute.
    Remove to cooling racks.
    Makes 3 dozen cookies.
