Bishop'S Bread(Red And Green Cherries Make This A Good Dessert For Christmas) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped dates or 10 oz. box pitted dates
3/4 c. red and green maraschino cherries, coarsely chopped
1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
4 large eggs, beaten
2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. chopped pecans
1 c. sugar
Preparation

Mix flour, baking powder and salt.
Stir in nuts, fruit and chocolate.
Beat eggs and sugar together in separate bowl.
Add to first mixture and stir until blended.
Mixture will be very thick. Line a 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan with brown paper.
Grease paper with margarine very thoroughly.
Pour in mixture.
Bake in preheated oven at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until top is browned.
Put on rack to cool, carefully removing paper.
Stores well.
