Aunt Jan'S Banana Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. buttermilk or 1/2 c. milk with 1 Tbsp. lemon juice stirred in
1 c. mashed bananas
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation

Grease and flour a 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
Preheat the oven to 350\u00b0.
Cream together sugar and shortening.
Add eggs one at a time, beating well.
Sift in flour and soda, alternating with stirring in buttermilk and bananas.
Stir in walnuts.
Pour into greased and floured pan; bake at 350\u00b0 for 65 minutes.
