Ingredients

2 1/4 c. flour
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1 c. butter
1 egg yolk
3 Tbsp. brown sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation

Mix flour and granulated sugar.
Cut in butter with a fork. Add egg yolk.
Mix.
Form into 2 rolls.
Beat egg white slightly. Brush it on the roll and then roll the roll in a mixture of brown sugar and cinnamon.
Chill 1 hour.
Cut into slices about 1/8-inch in thickness.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes or until very lightly browned (golden in color).
Makes 40 to 60 cookies.
Bake on rack higher than the middle of the oven.
