Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. peanut butter
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2/3 c. dark brown sugar
2/3 c. sugar
2 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. vanilla
4 Tbsp. boiling water
Preparation

Cream shortening, sugars and eggs together.
Sift together remaining dry ingredients.
Stir into creamed mixture.
Add remaining ingredients.
Make cookies into little balls and flatten with a fork.
Bake 10 minutes in a moderate oven.
