Raisin Nut Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. seedless raisins
1 c. boiling water
1 tsp. soda
1 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. melted butter
1 egg, beaten
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Pour boiling water over raisins. Stir in soda then cool. Combine sugar, butter and egg. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Add to egg mixture. Stir in raisins and nuts. Pour into greased and floured 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 3-inch loaf pan. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
