Ingredients

1 lb. softened butter
1 c. white sugar
1 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda, dissolved in 1 Tbsp. hot water
5 c. flour
Preparation

Cream the first 5 ingredients together.
Add baking soda dissolved in hot water.
Stir in flour (may need to add rest with hands).
Roll dough in 4 balls, taking one ball at a time.
Roll into flat surface to about 1/2-inch thick.
Cut with cutters.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
