Sugar Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    1/4 c. white Karo
    1 egg
    2 tsp. baking soda
    2 c. sifted plain flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Combine shortening, sugar, corn syrup, salt and egg.
    Mix thoroughly.
    Mix flour and soda and add to shortening-sugar mixture.
    When all ingredients are completely mixed, form dough into one-inch balls and roll in sugar.
    Place on greased cookie sheets two inches apart.
    Bake in a very slow oven at 200\u00b0 to 250\u00b0 until light golden brown.
    Cool slightly before removing with a spatula.
