Ingredients

3/4 c. granulated sugar
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. butter
1 Tbsp. vanilla extract
2 eggs, slightly beaten
3 c. all-purpose flour
3/4 tsp. salt
3 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 c. nuts, chopped (optional)
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
In a large bowl, combine white and brown sugars.
Add butter and cream together with the sugar.
Add vanilla and eggs, mixing well.
In a separate bowl, sift the flour, baking soda and salt together.
Add dry mixture to creamed mixture; mix well.
The dough will be stiff.
Add the chocolate chips and nuts.
Using a small ice cream scoop, drop dough onto the cookie sheets.
Bake for 10 to 12 minutes.
Remove from oven and cool on wire racks.
Yields 2 to 3 dozen.
