Brown Velvet Molasses Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. brown sugar
    1 c. molasses
    1 Tbsp. cinnamon
    1 c. sour milk, thick
    3 eggs
    1 c. lard
    1 Tbsp. ginger
    2 Tbsp. soda
    6 c. flour
Preparation
    Place 1 tablespoon soda in milk and 1 in molasses.
    Cream shortening and sugar.
    Add 1 egg at a time.
    Add molasses and milk. Mix alternately with flour, about 6 cups.
    Put in refrigerator for 1 hour and roll out.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for approximately 10 minutes. Frost with powdered sugar and add orange flavoring.
